Blog Rules

I want this blog to be an open transfer of ideas. For there to be freedom, there needs to be a rule of law. On this blog, the law is the following rules to ensure open discussion and fairness.

1. No rude or intolerant comments.
2. No name calling.
3. No off topic comments. I will make room on this blog for random ideas, however in a given post please comment on the topic covered in the post. While the comments will be open for anyone to post, I will snip off topic comments.
4. Any ideas that are posted on this site are open to the public. That means any ideas posted by me or anyone else are available for others to use. If this does lead to a company, I accept that this forum could be an incubator for competitors as well. In fact, I think this may be beneficial to any start-up venture that I would be a part of since this would raise the profile of these types of companies and likely aid both.
5. Common courtesy is expected (not legally however). If you find a business opportunity on this blog that you think you can pursue and be successful with, I wish you all the best. I would expect you to acknowledge the originator of that idea (whether it's another reader or commenter). It doesn't have to be in a public way such as a post or a comment, but an email letting them know would be appreciated (maybe an invite to partake in the venture if it's possible).

I think these rules are a good way to encourage open discussion on this blog and hopefully leads to some interesting ventures.
